Brisbane Broncos fell short against the Gold Coast Titans, who claimed a 36-34 victory in the Indigenous Round clash at Suncorp Stadium.

The Titans produced an impressive second half, after being down 18-28 at halftime, to upset the Broncos in a thrilling match.

The match started with a bang, with both sides trading blows in the first half. Broncos centre Kotoni Staggs crossed ten minutes in, before a Tanah Boyd try levelled the scores soon after. Tesi Niu put the Broncos back in front, but a penalty try to the Titans kept the margin to 2 points.

Jamayne Isaako went over for the Broncos just before the break, but the Titans hit back through Phillip Sami to leave the halftime score at 18-28. The Titans continued their momentum in the second half, with Corey Thompson and AJ Brimson tries helping them take the lead for the first time in the match.

The Broncos hit back through a Corey Oates try, but a penalty goal to the Titans gave them a 36-34 lead with just minutes remaining. The Broncos had a chance to snatch a draw right at the death, but a Isaako field goal attempt hit the post, giving the Titans the thrilling win.
